EFFORT. The colours got all hacked-up by the camera shots but openCanvas actually managed to salvage most of them this time, and thus I am happy. Fun lighting and movement practice. Also getting more and more comfortable with my anatomy. However, I needed help with the arm and leg posture, so I used this for reference. For those who don't know, this is Flandre Scarlet from Touhou Project: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. She's the extra stage boss and she has the best "Oh shit I am going to die" music I've heard in a video game for a while. Plus, Flandre's just frickin' cool. I need to draw psycho-lolis more often, they're fun. Her theme, U.N. Owen Was Her? is also the main reason Touhou's becoming so popular now. People on niconicodouga who transfer their vids over to YouTube love making sound medleys to her theme, plus there's a kick-ass remix of it by COOL&CREATE floating around. This vid would be the most popular sound medley, of course, -- plus, it also has the remixed bit half-way through. [link] And this...well, this one is just my favourite for obvious reasons. [link] |

I wish I could just thrust my paper pad through my monitor so everyone could see the picture in real life where it doesn't look quite so bad. I'm still so glad everyone appreciates the uber-crapola version too though. xD
