And while you guys were playing your Final Fantasy, I and a very select few of others were playing a REAL video game.

Okay, so about two people have played Mischief Makers. Old side-scroller for the N64 when the console was fairly young. Was a short, rather simple game, but it was creative and fun to play. One of those typical bizzaro Japanese games.

I was sifting through some old drawings and found a picture I drew of Marina back in...like...grade seven or eight. Then I laughed, a lot, and sat down and drew this epic picture of epic proportions.
Seriously, I am EXTREMELY happy with how this turned out. It's my newest favourite thing I've ever drawn. I never draw epic fan art anymore...I really should do more.

Anyway, this is based on my most favourite part of the entire game, which is the fight with Lunar and his Cerebus α. Basically, you have to chase Lunar, this yellow, machine-gun toting, armoured mercenary wolf man from outer space on his giant motorcyle, which transforms into a robotic wolf-creature and shoots missiles and shit at you. You chase him as this cute little green-haired robot girl with stimpy legs, Marina, on a tiny gonk-faced cat on a never-ending track of whirling, dark colours. You have to grab the missiles thrown at you, shake them (and every time Marina shakes something in the game she says "Shake Shake!", hence the title) to make them bigger, then throw them back. And, at one point, you get to snatch Lunar's machine gun, and can shake it to make it shoot lasers. He eventually dies in a catastrophic explosion.

THIS IS THE GAMING EXPERIENCE YOU GUYS ARE MISSING OUT ON.

Prisma pencil crayons and Sharpie markers. Four hours non-stop. Boo yeah.
